Should You Help the Miners in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? (Post Scriptum Quest Guide)

Mar 30,2025 Author: Gabriella

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the choices you make during quests can significantly impact your gameplay experience. One such decision arises during the Post Scriptum side quest in the Kuttenberg region. Here's a detailed guide to help you navigate this quest and decide whether to assist the miners.

How to Start Post Scriptum in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

To initiate the Post Scriptum quest, head to the tavern just west of Kuttenberg city along the road. Speak with the NPC named Kvyertsolav to kick off the quest. Your task involves writing a letter for the miners, but be prepared for unexpected twists.

Write the Letter

Navigate to the house in Kuttenberg to assist Kvyertsolav with the letter. Upon entering, select the dialogue option, "Justice is worth more than silver." You have the flexibility to refine the letter, write it as is, or make it more aggressive and concise. Regardless of your choice, the outcome remains the same. After completing the letter, the miners may attempt to kill you, but you can use a Speech check to persuade them to spare you.

Should You Turn the Miners Over to the Bailiff?

If you successfully save yourself, you'll face the decision of whether to turn the miners over to the bailiff. Doing so will end the quest immediately, rewarding you with 100 groschen. However, this isn't the most rewarding outcome, so it's advisable to proceed to Markold with the letter instead.

Should You Help Markold or the Miners?

Next, you'll need to meet with the shaft owner. Speak to the bodyguard at the house to gain access to Markold upstairs. Here, you can choose to blackmail Markold, deliver the letter, or collaborate with him to eliminate the miners. Blackmailing him is not recommended due to the challenging Speech check and immediate quest conclusion.

Opting to help Markold requires you to kill three miners, yielding a mere 60 groschen, which is the least favorable outcome. Instead, I recommend siding with the miners. Deliver the letter to Markold as planned, and he'll give you seven groschen, directing you to meet some miners just north of the city.

Head to the designated location, wait for the miners, and proceed to their camp to speak with Myslibor. When Markold arrives to attack, assist the miners in defeating him. This will conclude the quest, earning you 160 groschen from Myslibor and the satisfaction of improving the miners' working conditions.

By following this path, you'll have made a choice that not only benefits the miners but also maximizes your rewards.
