Monster Hunter Now\'s newest season details revealed: weapons, armour and more

Jan 16,2025 Author: Lily
  • Monster Hunter Now season four is right around the corner, with Roars from the Winterwind
  • A new weapon, habitat and more are all being added
  • That's alongside the permanent partnership of a pet palico

Monster Hunter Now fans can rejoice, as while the days may be dark and cold, things in MH are...well, also dark and cold. But this is in a fun way, as season four: Roars from the Winterwind debuts on December 5th. So what can you expect? Well, new armour, environments and more, but let's slow down and take things one at a time, shall we?

  • New habitat: The tundra is, as you might expect, an icy domain of challenging monsters. New monsters include the Tigrex, Lagombi, Volvidon and Somnacanth, some of which you'll need to complete quests to unlock, and can encounter even outside the tundra.
  • New weapon: The Switch Axe allows you to switch between axe and sword mode in order to change up your approach. Building up the switch gauge will let you land a devastating blow when switching modes.
  • Palicos!: Yes, the adorable feline humanoids will now be permanent companions. You'll get your own palico partner to customise to your heart's content, who'll also help out by gathering materials and marking monsters.
yt And a whole lot more...

That's barely even scratching the surface of what's included in this season. You can also expect new armour, the ability to cheer friends and view your palicos in the real world using Niantic's signature AR features, a season four pass, fresh skills and medals, and a whole lot more!

Suffice it to say that just in time for Christmas, this is a major new overhaul of an update that's sure to give you plenty of content to make your way through during these cool winter months.

And naturally, we're not going to let you leave without giving you a quick poke to check out some of our guides and tips. Why not dig into our constantly updated list of Monster Hunter Now codes to see if you can brighten your winter days with some free zenny?
