Get ready for the Halloween festivities in Pokémon GO, as Niantic reveals the first part of this spooky event. And yes, a second part is on the way, bringing exciting features and eerie Pokémon encounters.
The Pokémon GO Halloween event begins Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 AM local time and continues until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
Morpeko is making its long-awaited debut in Pokémon GO. This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique mechanics, particularly when battling Team GO Rocket or competing in the GO Battle League.
Morpeko's ability to shift between Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode during battle, triggered by its Charged Attack, is a thrilling dynamic. In Full Belly Mode, it unleashes Aura Wheel (Electric), a powerful 100-power move that also boosts the user's Attack. In Hangry Mode, Aura Wheel becomes a Dark-type attack, retaining its 100 power and Attack-raising effect.
Throughout the Halloween event, your chances of encountering Morpeko increase on the premium track of the GO Battle League. After the event, Morpeko will remain available from Rank 16, though it will still appear more frequently on the premium track.
The game is getting a festive makeover with special holiday decorations. And for fans of the haunting Lavender Town theme, a remixed version of the classic tune will play each night during the event. Don’t miss this Lavender Town video, too!
A major highlight of this Halloween event is the arrival of Dynamax Gastly in one-star Max Battles. Gastly will be joined by Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble in these one-star Max Battles.
Free Timed Research runs from October 22nd to November 3rd, focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Completing research tasks will reward you with encounters featuring Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
Download the game from the Google Play Store. Before you go, check out our coverage on Bandai Namco's Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage EOS.
