GSC Game World unveils S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy - Enhanced Edition, a next-generation upgrade for the classic trilogy launching May 20 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

This definitive collection features enhanced versions of Shadow of Chornobyl (2007), Clear Sky (2008), and Call of Prypiat (2009), complete with visual improvements, next-gen optimizations, and expanded mod capabilities.

Play

Current owners of the trilogy on Xbox Series X|S or PS5 will receive the Enhanced Edition for free. PC players who own the original games also get complimentary upgrades as a loyalty reward, while new purchases include both versions. The trilogy is priced at $39.99 as a bundle or $19.99 per title.

Cross-platform saves aren't supported - player progress remains platform-specific. Console versions offer flexible performance options: standard 30FPS and 60FPS modes, plus 40FPS and 120FPS options for VRR-capable displays.

The enhanced console versions feature multiple graphics modes:

Xbox Series X/PS5/PS5 Pro: Quality (native 4K/30FPS), Balanced (upscaled 4K/40FPS), Performance (upscaled 4K/60FPS), Ultra Performance (upscaled 2K/120FPS).
Xbox Series S: Quality (native 2K/30FPS), Balanced (upscaled 2K/40FPS), Performance (1080p/60FPS).
(VRR displays required for Balanced/Ultra Performance modes)

Visual Improvements Across All Platforms:

  • Upgraded lighting with godrays, screen space reflections, and global illumination
  • Enhanced textures and detailed 3D models for characters and environments
  • Improved water effects and dynamic skyboxes
  • 4K cinematic sequences and refined weapon field-of-view

Console-Specific Enhancements:

  • Mod.io integration for cross-platform mod sharing

PC Exclusive Features:

  • Steam Workshop mod support
  • Cloud saves synchronization
