Nintendo Direct Confirms Switch 2 Release Date

Exciting news for Nintendo fans—the long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 finally has an official release date. Mark your calendars, because it's set to launch on June 5, 2025. Alongside the release date, Nintendo also revealed the much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 price, which starts at $449.99.

For those looking to get started with a game right out of the gate, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle is available for $499.99 in the U.S. This package includes the console and a digital download code for Mario Kart World, which launches alongside the system on June 5.
If you prefer to buy separately, Mario Kart World will retail at $79.99—marking a $10 increase over previous premium Nintendo Switch titles, making it the most expensive game in the company’s lineup to date.
