在最近接受Limit Break Network YouTube采访时，Urquhart表达了他对《外星世界2》开发团队的信心。“我对团队印象深刻，”他说。“我们有很多参与这款游戏的人才，他们理解这款游戏——他们参与过第一部作品的开发，并且长期与我们合作。所以，我对这款游戏的进展印象非常深刻。”Urquhart还提到了工作室面临的挑战，尤其是在COVID-19疫情期间以及被微软收购之后。当时，《Grounded》和《Pentiment》等多款游戏的开发使团队人手紧张。“大约一年半的时间里，我们算不上是一个高效的开发者，”他承认。一度，曾有人讨论过完全停止《外星世界2》的开发工作，并将团队重新分配到《Avowed》项目。然而，工作室最终决定坚持最初的计划，继续开发所有游戏。

回顾坚持开发的决定，Urquhart指出《Grounded》和《Pentiment》“结果都非常棒”，并分享说《Avowed》“看起来很棒”，而《外星世界2》“看起来令人难以置信”。虽然没有分享更多关于实际游戏内容的细节，但考虑到《Avowed》推迟到2025年发布，我们推测Obsidian的其他项目也会进行类似的调整。
