Path of Exile 2's Atlas Endgame: Mastering the Delirium Event
Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) offers four major endgame encounters on the Atlas map: Rituals, Breaches, Expeditions, and Delirium. This guide focuses on Delirium, a returning mechanic from previous PoE leagues, explaining how to initiate and maximize your rewards.
Understanding the Delirium Fog Mechanic

On the Atlas, Delirium encounters are indicated by a distinctive white and black icon representing the Delirium Mirror. To guarantee a Delirium event, place a Delirium Precursor Tablet in a Lost Tower.
Within a Delirium map, locate the multi-colored, shattered-glass Delirium Mirror near your starting point. Activating it unleashes a swirling circle of Fog, increasing enemy difficulty as you progress. Leaving the Fog ends the encounter and resets the map.
Enemies within the Fog are stronger but offer unique rewards: Distilled Emotions (used in crafting) and Simulacrum Splinters (for summoning the Pinnacle Boss). Fractured Mirrors, when activated, spawn additional waves of enemies and loot. Be wary of Kosis and Omniphobia, full-fledged bosses that may appear randomly.
The Simulacrum Pinnacle Event
Each endgame event provides materials for summoning a Pinnacle Boss. High-tier Waystones in Delirium yield Simulacrum Splinters. Accumulate 300 splinters to create a Simulacrum, which, when placed in the Realmgate, transports you to a challenging 15-wave encounter. Delirium bosses have an increased chance of spawning in later waves. Successfully completing the Simulacrum awards two Delirium Passive Skill points.

Mastering the Delirium Passive Skill Tree
The Delirium Passive Skill Tree, located on the Atlas Passive Skill Tree (top-right), modifies the Delirium event. It features eight Notable nodes and eight nodes increasing Simulacrum difficulty. Each Simulacrum completion grants two passive points; increased difficulty is required to unlock new Notable nodes.

Delirium Rewards: Distilled Emotions and More

Delirium Fog-affected enemies drop Distilled Emotions. Bosses also frequently drop them. These currencies anoint amulets with Notable Passive Skills, eliminating the need to allocate passive skill points. They can also add guaranteed modifiers to Waystones.
Simulacrum Splinters, also dropped by enemies, combine to form a Simulacrum for the Pinnacle event. Completing the Simulacrum guarantees a unique item and Delirium Passive points.
All PoE 2 Distilled Emotions:
Distilled Envy
Distilled Fear
Distilled Isolation
By mastering these mechanics, you can fully leverage the Delirium event for substantial rewards in PoE 2.
