The studio behind Bulletstorm and co-developer of Gears of War: E-Day, People Can Fly, has entered into an agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment for a new title currently known as Project Delta.
This collaboration was confirmed through an official disclosure by People Can Fly outlining their partnership terms. While the deal confirms Project Delta as a work-for-hire production, the studio has withheld additional details about the game's nature.
People Can Fly's development pipeline remains notably active with numerous codenamed projects. These include Project Gemini (partnered with Square Enix, which previously resulted in 30 staff reductions last year), Project Echo (with Krafton), Project Red (another apparent Sony collaboration), and VR Project Bison - which the studio recently confirmed would conclude its ventures into virtual reality development.
The studio made waves last December when it announced the suspension of Project Victoria's development and scaled back resources on another in-progress title, Project Bifrost. Earlier in April, the company had terminated Project Dagger, an action-adventure concept developed in coordination with Take-Two Interactive.
Even with these adjustments, People Can Fly maintains an ambitious portfolio featuring eight confirmed active projects. Among these is the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, being developed alongside The Coalition. While Gears of War: E-Day remains undated, Project Gemini under the Square Enix partnership was last projected for a 2026 release window.
