Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) is set to expand its global reach with a dedicated social media account for its English version. The release date might be unveiled during their livestream scheduled for May 15 at 7:00 AM PT on Atlus' official western YouTube channel. You can find the stream start times for your region below:
The livestream promises to be a thrilling event, featuring special guests from the game’s cast, including Kaede Hondo, the voice of Motoha Arai, and Chika Anzai, the voice of Yui. They will be joined by key figures from the development team: P5X Chief Producer Yohsuke Uda, Development Director Yusuke Nitta from ATLUS, Development Producer Jun Matsunaga, and Live Ops Director Yuta Sakai from SEGA.
P5X was initially released in selected regions in April 2024. Fans are buzzing with anticipation, speculating that the Western release might be announced during the upcoming stream. The developers hinted at their plans for English localization during the game’s first anniversary livestream. The official account teased, "The release date for Japan will surely be announced, but what about the West? Be sure to tune in and find out!"
Japanese Release Coming Soon
The livestream will also provide more insights into P5X's Japanese (JP) release. Atlus announced during the game’s first anniversary celebration that it will launch in Japan in Summer 2025, and pre-registrations are now open on P5X’s JP website.
Additionally, Sega Sammy Holdings, a Japanese global holding company, included the game in their Fiscal Year 2025 Results Presentation on May 12, confirming its rollout "In or after FY2026/3" (April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026) with a targeted launch this summer.
