2024年11月26日，Pokémon公司打破了吉尼斯世界纪录中“最长开箱直播（视频）”类别的现有纪录。这场直播活动是为了庆祝宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏最新扩展包《宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏：猩红·紫罗兰-汹涌火花》的发布。
直播邀请了知名网络红人参与，例如Serebii网站站长Joe Merrick以及社交媒体影响者PokeGirl Ranch和Mayplaystv。整个视频在Pokémon的Twitch频道上进行了超过24小时的直播。这三位网络红人一共打开了1500包增强包，还拆开了其他宝可梦周边产品。据Pokémon官方新闻网站报道，直播结束后，他们一共收集了2万多张卡牌。
Pokémon国际公司市场部高级总监Peter Murphy对这一新成就感到非常自豪。“24小时的开包过程令人难以置信，我们很高兴能与一群优秀的创作者团队一起获得如此雄心勃勃的吉尼斯世界纪录称号，”他说道。

这款宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏的最新扩展包于2024年11月8日正式发售，它将玩家带到了《宝可梦：紫罗兰/猩红》DLC第二部分《靛蓝圆盘》的主要地点——奇异空间。它包含了闪耀的太晶宝可梦ex，包括拥有终极防御技能“金属防御”的阿尔宙斯ex。
这款新扩展包还包含了标志性的龙系宝可梦，如帕路奇亚、帝牙卢卡、艾特纳图斯、阿罗拉椰蛋树ex和赤齿鳞ex。为了营造更热带的氛围，还推出了插图稀有卡和特别插图稀有卡，包括阿罗拉三地鼠和霏丝，描绘了“平静的海浪和温暖的微风”。新的太晶宝可梦ex也加入了这个增强包，为集换式卡牌游戏玩家的卡组增添乐趣，例如沙奈朵ex和音波龙ex。
