Niantic announces major Pokemon Go event in Sao Paulo, Brazil! The gamescom latam 2024 panel revealed exciting news for Brazilian Pokemon Go players: a massive city-wide event in Sao Paulo this December. Details are still under wraps, but Niantic promises a Pikachu-filled takeover!
The event is a collaboration with the Sao Paulo Civil House and local shopping centers, ensuring a fun and safe experience for all. Beyond the December event, Niantic is also working to improve the game's infrastructure in Brazil.
This includes partnerships with various city governments to significantly increase the number of PokeStops and Gyms nationwide, making the game even more accessible and enjoyable for Brazilian players.
Brazil's significant contribution to Pokemon Go's success, especially following price adjustments that boosted revenue, has clearly been recognized by Niantic. To celebrate this strong community, a locally produced video showcasing the game's impact in Brazil has also been released.
