If you're a gaming enthusiast, you'll be thrilled to hear that HP has finally opened preorders for its highly anticipated 2025 Omen Max 16 gaming laptop. Boasting cutting-edge hardware, this machine is set to redefine performance with the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 HX-series processor and the powerful GeForce RTX 5080 mobile GPU. Estimated to begin shipping out on March 13, the Omen Max 16 is poised to become HP's new flagship gaming laptop, joining its siblings—the standard Omen and the sleek Omen Transcend models.
Expected to ship out in March.
Starting at $2,699.99 at HP, the launch edition of the Omen Max 16 features an Intel-based configuration powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU. Known for its performance-oriented design, this chip outshines the current Core Ultra 9 185H, which emphasizes efficiency. Other specs include a stunning 16-inch QHD+ 240Hz display, 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD. At this price point, it's approximately $500 cheaper than the upcoming Razer Blade 16 with comparable specifications.
HP anticipates that the Omen Max 16 will begin shipping out in early to mid-March, just a few weeks away. Since the RTX 50-series mobile GPUs are still unreleased, benchmarks are yet to be available.
Razer’s 2025 lineup of gaming laptops is now available for preorder. The Razer Blade 16 and Blade 18 can be ordered directly from Razer.com and come equipped with the upcoming Intel and Ryzen processors, paired with the anticipated RTX 5000-series mobile GPUs in three configurations: RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090. Preorders also come with exclusive bonuses depending on the model.
Razer Blade laptops are renowned for their exceptional build quality. Crafted from a single piece of aluminum, these machines are designed to be ultra-thin and lightweight for gaming laptops. To achieve this sleek design, Razer employs its proprietary cooling technology, featuring a vacuum-sealed, liquid-filled copper vapor chamber to efficiently dissipate heat. Similar to Apple’s MacBook Pros, Razer Blade laptops incorporate extensive engineering, which explains their premium pricing compared to mainstream brands.
