PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup: 12 Teams Remain!
The first stage of the PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup (EWC), part of the larger Gamers8 event in Saudi Arabia, has concluded. The initial 24 teams have been whittled down to a final 12, leaving only the final stage to determine the $3 million prize pool winner.
For those unfamiliar with the EWC, it's a significant esports tournament showcasing some of the biggest mobile games. PUBG Mobile's participation has been a major success, with Alliance currently leading the pack.
Global Impact and Future Events
While the EWC's overall impact on PUBG Mobile's global fanbase is yet to be fully assessed, the tournament has generated significant buzz. It's important to note, however, that this isn't the largest event on the PUBG Mobile esports calendar, and upcoming tournaments may garner even more attention.
The 12 eliminated teams will compete in a "Survival Stage" on July 23rd and 24th for two coveted spots in the main event's final stage (July 27th-28th). This promises to be an intense competition.
