SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered Brings Upgraded Visuals and New Content to Android

Square Enix has thrilled fans by releasing SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered on mobile and other platforms. Originally debuting on the PlayStation in 1999 in Japan and in 2000 in North America and Europe, this remaster revives the classic with stunning upgraded visuals and exciting new content.

SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered Is Now Available on Android

SaGa Frontier 2 transports players to the enchanting world of Sandail, where magic is powered by a mystical force known as Anima. The game primarily follows the intertwining stories of two protagonists. Gustave, a royal lacking any magical prowess, embarks on a journey after being exiled from the Kingdom of Finney for his inability to harness Anima. On the other hand, William Knights, a young adventurer from a family dedicated to uncovering ancient relics called Quells, seeks to unravel the mystery behind his parents’ death and a mind-altering relic known as the Egg.

The remastered version of SaGa Frontier 2 significantly enhances the original's graphics, boasting higher resolution and beautifully crisp watercolor backgrounds. The user interface has also been thoughtfully redesigned for easier navigation while preserving the game's classic charm.

The combat system retains its turn-based strategy roots, offering three distinct types of battles: Party Battles, Duels, and Warfare. Party Battles follow the traditional RPG format, while Duels are intense one-on-one confrontations where every move is crucial. Warfare, on the other hand, involves large-scale strategic engagements, ensuring that combat remains engaging and varied, requiring different strategies for each type.

The remaster also revives the beloved glimmer system, allowing players to learn new techniques during combat, and the combo mechanic, which rewards players for chaining attacks with their team. With these enhancements, SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered promises a fresh and dynamic gaming experience, now available on the Google Play Store.
