SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble for Historic Crossover Event!

Sonic Rumble is making waves even before its global launch, now featuring a thrilling crossover event dubbed Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This event is live from now until May 7th, right before the game's worldwide release on May 8th. Currently in soft launch, Sonic Rumble is accessible in over 40 countries, having undergone two pre-launch phases. The first pre-launch in Summer 2024 hit regions such as the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia, while the second expanded to Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and more.

What’s in Store?

If you're lucky enough to be in a region where Sonic Rumble soft-launched last year, you can jump into the SEGA Stars crossover. Start your adventure with the Altered Beast crew, where the Werewolf transformation is available for free. Nostalgia lovers can also get their hands on the Werebear and Weredragon transformations, though these come with a cost. The Weredragon is exclusive to the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.

Adding to the excitement, characters from Fantasy Zone, Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa, join the fray. Opa-Opa is tied to the Premium Pass, whereas Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, purchasable at 700 rings each. Fans of Super Monkey Ball will be delighted to see AiAi and MeeMee rolling in; AiAi is available for 729 Red Star Rings. Check out the action in the crossover event video below:

During matches, you can collect SEGA logos to earn additional rewards. Although it might seem odd for the event to be active before the global release, SEGA has confirmed that most pre-release rewards will reappear later. This initial crossover event showcases a delightful blend of SEGA's iconic characters, from monkeys and arcade ships to mythical creatures, all interacting with Sonic and his friends, making Sonic Rumble an eagerly anticipated title.
