As you embark on your journey with Khazan, you'll encounter various threats, including enemies lying in ambush. However, the environment also offers hidden treasures such as Soulstones. These red, glowing stones are scattered throughout levels and require keen observation and some platforming skills to locate. Don't just admire them; you must destroy each Soulstone using melee attacks or your Javelin. Once you reach The Crevice hub zone and can access portals to different levels, you'll be able to track the number of Soulstones available in each area.

Each Soulstone you destroy contributes to a total that can be utilized through the NPC Daphrona. You'll first meet Daphrona in the Embars Ruins – Forgotten Temple level, where she explains the Netherworld and its leaking energy. After clearing the level, Daphrona relocates to The Crevice in the Nether realm, becoming accessible for interactions. When you speak to her, you'll have the option to "Unleash Soulstones." Depending on your accumulated Soulstones, you can enhance Khazan in various ways. The standard choices include boosting your Lacrima Gain, which aids in leveling up and stat improvements, or increasing the health recovery from using Netherworld Energy. Additionally, you might unlock other valuable buffs like attack or recovery enhancements, providing a strategic advantage against the perils of Khazan's journey. It's wise to visit Daphrona regularly to see if you've gathered enough Soulstones for another beneficial upgrade.
