Spotify Outage: Service Disrupted Globally

Attention all music lovers: Spotify, the popular music streaming service, experienced a significant outage this morning. According to Downdetector, a site that tracks online service disruptions, reports of the Spotify outage started pouring in around 6 a.m. PT today and have continued throughout the morning. Our team at IGN also encountered difficulties accessing the service, and even when we managed to open the app, it refused to play music.

Spotify has officially acknowledged the issue and is actively working to resolve it as quickly as possible. In a statement, the company also debunked rumors that the outage was due to a security breach, confirming that the reports of a hack are false.
