All Side Story Locations in Split Fiction

*Split Fiction* offers a primarily linear co-op adventure, but it's peppered with exciting detours known as Side Stories. While these are optional, they house some of the game's most memorable and engaging moments. From turning into pigs to competing in a deadly game show, these Side Stories are not just fun—they're essential for achieving the "Bookworms" achievement. Here's your guide to uncovering all 12 Side Stories across Chapters 2 through 5.

How To Find All Side Stories in Split Fiction

Within Chapters 2 through 5, you'll encounter a total of 12 Side Stories, with three in each chapter. These narratives add depth and excitement to your journey, so let's explore how to find each one.

Chapter 2 Side Stories

  • Legend of the Sandfish – Naturally encountered after completing the Rush Hour section. You can't miss it.
  • Farmlife – Located in the Streets of Neon section. Hop over a small barrier before the elevators on the left to discover it.
  • Mountain Hike – Found in the Big City Life section. At the Port-A-Pottys, have Mio enter one, then use Zoe to throw her to a ledge opposite with a small ladder. Have Mio drop the ladder for access.

Chapter 3 Side Stories

  • Train Heist – In the Lord Evergreen section, navigate the water with a plank and reach a ledge by wall running with Mio and Zoe.
  • Gameshow – Located in the Walking Sticks of Doom section on a platform after the side-scrolling part. Some minor platforming is required.
  • Collapsing Star – Found in the Halls of Ice section, right on the main path, making it impossible to miss.

Chapter 4 Side Stories

  • Kites – In the Toxic Tumblers section, at the end of the long tube.
  • Moon Market – In the Test Chamber section, after opening the door post-crane sequence, platform to a ledge on the left.
  • Notebook – The final Side Story in Chapter 4, found in the Soaring Desperados section. Use the jetpack to hover over to the left side of the room, avoiding the giant wheel.

Chapter 5 Side Stories

  • Slopes of War – Located in the Water Temple section. After hatching your dragons, solve the lever puzzle on the left to unlock it.
  • Space Escape – In the Craft Temple section, after defeating the dragon, launch Mio to the ledge using her glide and Zoe's roll. Have Mio drop a column for Zoe to climb.
  • Birthday Cake – The last Side Story, found in the Treasure Temple section. Complete the soul puzzle, and it'll be on your left.

Once you've completed all 12 Side Stories, you'll automatically unlock the "Bookworms" achievement in *Split Fiction*.

*Split Fiction* is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
