Another week brings more shifts in the Pokémon single card market as trainers eagerly await the release of Destined Rivals. Thankfully, the preorders for Black Bolt and White Flare at the Pokémon Center managed to avoid a bot takeover this time around.
The most significant price drop this week was seen with Greninja ex 214/167, which has plummeted nearly 50% since the beginning of the year. We're also noticing price decreases across the Obsidian Flames and the elusive 151 expansions. On the flip side, Dragonite V from Evolving Skies has nearly doubled in value, reflecting its undervalued status due to its stunning artwork.
Charizard V Alt Art continues to impress with its depiction of a battle against Venusaur, steadily climbing in value. Meanwhile, Rayquazza VMAX Alt Art is soaring, gaining an impressive $100 in value since the start of the year. Let's explore the week's biggest Pokémon TCG climbers and crashers in more detail.

While Sword and Shield era Pokémon Cards are finally seeing an upward trend, Scarlet and Violet series cards are returning to more reasonable prices.
Alakazam ex SIR from 151 is a stunning card that's now 34% lower than at the beginning of March. It's a perfect addition to any collection, especially with its unique connection to Uri Geller's grandfather.
Bulbasaur, my first starter Pokémon from Pokémon Blue, holds a special place in my heart. The Bulbasaur IR has dropped by a massive 52% since mid-March, making it an excellent opportunity to add this beautiful card to your collection.
Moving on to Obsidian Flames, Ninetales IR remains one of the set's best cards. With a 40% price drop since February, it's now available for a reasonable $18.17, making it a great time to grab this gem.

Despite any criticism of Obsidian Flames, the Charizard ex SIR is undeniably cool with its stained glass Tera form design. It may not have dropped significantly since March, but every dollar saved counts.
The biggest crasher this month is Greninja ex SIR, which was once poised to be the most expensive Scarlet and Violet era card. However, with the release of Prismatic Evolutions, the fear of missing out (FOMO) intensified. It remains a fantastic card at $275, but imagine having paid $411.62 at the end of February.
Pokémon Card Climbers

This week's climbers include Rayquazza VMAX Alt Art, a prized card from the Sword and Shield era. Already valued over $500, it's now at $649.99 and shows no signs of slowing down. It could potentially reach the $1,000 mark in a few years, making it a wise investment if you can afford it.
Charizard V Alt Art beautifully captures a battle with Venusaur, earning another $40 since January. Its dynamic angle sets it apart from many static Pokémon card designs. There's no reason why this card can't surpass $200 before the year ends.

Dragonite V Alt Art from Evolving Skies is a fan favorite, showcasing the Pokémon's adorable yet fierce nature. Its artwork has contributed to a near doubling in value since mid-January, now sitting at a solid $225. Be sure to grab one before its value soars even higher.
