Tribe Nine to Cease Operations on November 27, 2025

Akatsuki Games has revealed that their recent title, Tribe Nine, will end service just months after its debut on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam in February. Curious about the reasons behind this abrupt closure? Read on for details.

When Will Tribe Nine Shut Down?

Tribe Nine’s servers will close on November 27, 2025. Akatsuki Games also confirmed that the anticipated Chapter 4 of the main storyline will not be released, despite earlier teasers hinting at upcoming content. This news has left fans disappointed.

As of May 15, all planned updates, features, bug fixes, and new content have been canceled. Previously announced in-game adjustments and additions are no longer moving forward.

Two characters, Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba, slated to join the roster, will not be added.

Refunds will be issued for Paid Enigma Entities used on items like Armed Support, Advanced Support, and the Support Contract – Revenio, starting after the Revenio contract concludes.

Purchases of Enigma Entities and Daily Passes are now disabled on both the app and web store, though players can still use existing Enigma Entities until the game’s closure.

What Led to Tribe Nine’s Early Demise?

Tribe Nine, a free-to-play extreme action RPG, boasted a distinctive style and immersive worldbuilding. However, it struggled from the outset.

The game’s release pace was sluggish, with only one story chapter and a single event rolled out over three months. Additionally, the game’s design allowed players to form strong teams with minimal spending, reducing the need for duplicate pulls. While player-friendly, this model likely hurt revenue for the developers.

Opting for a gacha model proved risky for Tribe Nine, and the gamble didn’t succeed. The game remains playable until November 27, so there’s still time to experience it on the Google Play Store.
