Dynasty Warriors: Origins offers three distinct campaigns, each featuring a challenging true ending. This guide details how to unlock the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction.

First, complete the Shu campaign. This unlocks replayability of past stages. Look for a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban" – this signifies an alternate ending. Normally, you escort Liu Bei to safety while Zhang Fei defends the bridge. However, to unlock the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead.

To improve your odds, consider these strategies:

• Reduce Difficulty: Set the game to "Historian" mode. While seemingly a shortcut, the sheer scale of the enemy forces necessitates this for most players, especially at lower levels.

• Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner. This positions you closer to Cao Cao's forces, reducing travel time.

• Musou Meter Management: Ensure your Musou Rage meter is full when encountering Cao Cao's army. You'll face two Grand Tactics – one requiring two officer kills, the other, 250 soldier eliminations. Twin pikes are recommended for the latter.

Once Cao Cao's forces are routed, defeating him should be relatively straightforward. A few additional missions remain before the Shu true ending is revealed.
