- Valhalla Survival welcomes summer with its major July update
- The new Abyss difficulty arrives, offering powerful Mythic equipment as a reward
- Players can also expect the new Lightning Chain skill and a weekly guild mission system
Even as summer reaches its peak, we're still seeing exciting new seasonal events and celebrations from top-tier releases. Lionheart Studios' Valhalla Survival is no exception, launching its seventh chapter, Niflheim, alongside a suite of fresh features to keep players engaged all season long.
Don't expect beaches and bikinis in this summer update. Instead, you'll venture into Niflheim—a fog-shrouded realm of ice and cold that's about as far from a sunny resort as you can imagine.
The threats aren't just environmental. A new Abyss difficulty level now challenges players who have completed stage 30 in chapter three of the existing Nightmare mode. This even tougher tier offers greater rewards, including rare materials for crafting ultra-powerful Mythic gear.

Chilling challenges
While battling through a frosty mist might seem an unusual summer activity, this update offers plenty of content to enjoy anywhere—even on a sandy beach. A key addition is the new Lightning Chain skill, which releases a linked attack of electric orbs and beams to damage and slow enemy movement.
The highly anticipated common skill, Lightning Chain, is now available. This skill launches a chaining assault that combines electric orbs with energy beams. Enemies struck by the orbs or caught within the beams suffer immediate damage and find their movement significantly impaired.
Also new is a weekly guild mission system, rewarding participants with valuable items and the Tome of Fortune, which can enhance both active and passive skills during play. Complementing this is the Skill Enhancement System, designed for upgrading skills obtained through Nightmare stages or exploration.
