World of Warcraft Has Good News for Players Who Forgot to Spend Their Anniversary Event Currency

WoW Patch 11.1 Auto-Converts Unused Bronze Celebration Tokens

Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft will automatically convert leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. Each unused token will be exchanged at a rate of 1:20, yielding 20 Timewarped Badges. Players are advised to log in after the patch launches to receive this automatic conversion.

The World of Warcraft 20th-anniversary event, concluding after 11 weeks, allowed players to accumulate Bronze Celebration Tokens used for purchasing revamped Tier 2 sets and anniversary collectibles. Any surplus tokens could be traded for Timewarped Badges, the currency for Timewalking events.

Blizzard, confirming the Bronze Celebration Tokens' permanent obsolescence after the January 7th event end, implemented this automatic conversion to prevent players from retaining useless currency. This conversion, detailed in a community manager post, will occur upon the first login after Patch 11.1's release.

While Patch 11.1 lacks an official release date, a likely timeframe emerges. Considering the scheduling of the Plunderstorm (January 14th - February 17th) and Turbulent Timeways (now - February 24th) events, and Blizzard's recent release pattern (approximately 10 weeks since Patch 11.0.7), February 25th is a strong contender.

This implies the conversion will occur after the second Turbulent Timeways event concludes. Timewarped Badges, obtained from this conversion, can be used across various Timewalking campaigns, with no planned removal of purchasable rewards, allowing for future use.
