World of Warcraft's highly anticipated housing system is slated for a 2025 release, with Blizzard offering a sneak peek at its features. The developers assure players that homes will be accessible to everyone, regardless of in-game achievements or financial standing, and will remain accessible even without an active subscription. This expansive housing content will debut with the Midnight expansion.
Initially, players can select a plot in one of two distinct zones: Alliance players will find their options in Elwynn Forest, incorporating elements from Westfall and Duskwood, while Horde players can choose from Durotar, featuring aspects of Azshara and the Durotar coastline.
Each zone is further subdivided into districts, each accommodating approximately 50 homes. Players can opt for a solitary dwelling or establish a private community with friends and guild members. Extensive customization options are promised, with the majority obtainable in-game, and some available via the in-game shop.
Blizzard's vision for the housing system rests on three core pillars: extensive personalization, robust social interaction, and enduring appeal. While further details are forthcoming, Blizzard welcomes player feedback and anticipates sharing more information soon.
