The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent CoD titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone can leverage existing resources to accelerate their progress. This guide explains how to utilize Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6.
Following the Season 01 update, many Black Ops 6 and Warzone players discovered a surplus of previously unavailable XP tokens. While initially usable for boosting XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression, a November 15th update addressed an issue that allowed these tokens to be activated within the Black Ops 6 UI.
Legacy XP Tokens are unused XP tokens carried over from previous CoD titles accessible through the COD HQ app, including Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, and Warzone. These tokens were earned through various methods such as DMZ Missions, Battle Pass Tiers, and brand promotions. While previously usable in Warzone, their direct activation in Black Ops 6 was temporarily disabled.
At the Season 01 launch, players could activate their Legacy XP tokens from Warzone and then see them reflected in Black Ops 6. Following the patch, this direct activation was removed. However, a workaround existed: activating the tokens in Warzone would cause them to appear in Black Ops 6, allowing for XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression boosts. This method required switching between game menus and involved real-time token timers.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
