Assassin's Creed Shadows Art Book Leaks on a Hentai Site, of All Places

Feb 22,2025 Author: Layla

New details about the upcoming Assassin's Creed Shadows have surfaced online following the alleged leak of an artbook, surprisingly discovered on a hentai website, among other locations.

The "Art of Assassin's Creed Shadows" artbook, highlighted on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, has rapidly spread across the internet. It boasts hundreds of pages showcasing concept art, quotes, and development information related to the next Assassin's Creed installment. The leak's origin is unusual, adding to the intrigue. IGN has reached out to Ubisoft for a statement.

While the original source has removed the gallery, copies have been archived on various file-sharing platforms.

The leaked art reveals intriguing details, including designs for renowned historical figures, major cities, and a variety of weaponry. The artwork also seemingly contains potential plot spoilers for Assassin's Creed Shadows. While confirmation awaits the game's release, the images appear authentic.

The leak comes just before Assassin's Creed Shadows' anticipated launch on March 20, 2025, following a postponement from its initial 2024 release date.

At a recent preview event, IGN interviewed Assassin's Creed Shadows game director Charles Benoit. He confirmed the one-month delay was primarily for "polishing," without altering core game mechanics. Minor adjustments were made to enhance gameplay engagement and balance, with the parkour system receiving particular attention. The unique challenges presented by Feudal Japan's architecture proved demanding.

"The Japanese architecture, the roofs [are] super complex," Benoit explained. "Probably the most complex thing that I ever worked with if we compared to Odyssey and Syndicate. We needed specific codes and specific animations to support something super fluid, changing the transition of the parkour to make it even more fluid. So that's one of the specific feedback that we heard that we wanted to address, and it really improved since the last few months."
