New Civs, Leaders, and Wonders are Coming Soon to Civ 7

Firaxis has unveiled an ambitious 2025 Post-Launch Roadmap, and the Crossroads of the World DLC is at the forefront. Early March will see the introduction of Ada Lovelace leading Great Britain and Carthage, along with four new natural wonders. Later in the month, Simón Bolívar will join the fray, leading Nepal and Bulgaria. While details are scarce, we're here to offer our educated guesses on what these new additions might bring to the table.

Ada Lovelace Leader Ability, Attributes, and Agenda Prediction

Ada Lovelace, celebrated as the first computer programmer, is expected to bring a science-focused approach to the game. Her aristocratic lineage suggests her abilities will likely revolve around the Codex and Specialist mechanics, areas yet to be explored by any current leader. Paired with Great Britain’s potential bonuses, Lovelace is poised to steer players toward a science victory.

Simón Bolívar Leader Ability, Attributes, and Agenda Prediction

Simón Bolívar, a familiar face from Civ 6, is anticipated to continue his Militarist/Expansionist playstyle in Civ 7. Utilizing the new Commanders mechanic, Bolívar's approach will likely focus on keeping his forces agile and advancing through superior logistics, differing from the more stationary strategies of other leaders like Trung Trac.

Carthage Unique Bonus, Unit, Infrastructure, and Wonder Prediction

Carthage, known for its mercantile prowess, is expected to emphasize naval trade and coastal development in Civ 7. However, to differentiate from Aksum, Carthage might focus on increasing Trade Route capacity and earning Culture bonuses from international trade, possibly synergizing well with the Colossus wonder.

Great Britain Unique Bonus, Unit, Infrastructure, and Wonder Prediction

Great Britain, a staple of the series, will likely continue its tradition as a Modern Age civilization with an emphasis on the Industrial Era. Expect bonuses related to naval production and trade, with a production boost from the iconic Oxford University, reinforcing its science and industry strengths.

Nepal Unique Bonus, Unit, Infrastructure, and Wonder Prediction

Nepal, a fresh addition to Civ 7, is poised to be a Modern Age civilization with a focus on military and cultural advantages. Its unique units may benefit from the mountainous terrain of the Himalayas, though the specific wonder synergy remains a mystery.

Bulgaria Unique Bonus, Unit, Infrastructure, and Wonder Prediction

Bulgaria, making its debut in the series, will likely capitalize on its historical military and economic strengths, with a focus on Cavalry and Traditions. As an Exploration Age civilization, its design may reflect its historical role during or after Ottoman rule.

Crossroads of the World DLC Natural Wonder Bonus Predictions

While no new buildable Wonders are included in the DLC, the four new Natural Wonders will add to the game's exploration aspect. These wonders will likely provide additional Tile Yields, enhancing the strategic depth of the game.
