Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2

Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and seemingly inaccessible, holds key plot advancements and side quests. This guide details the methods to overcome the obstacle and reach the island.

Method 1: The Spirit Bridge

The destroyed bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice, offers a path. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken segments. Crossing requires:

  1. Gloves of Teleportation: Teleport each party member individually.
  2. Translocation Skills: Utilize skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat. This is limited by party member abilities.
  3. Teleporter Pyramids: Place one pyramid with a teleporting companion; they cross, then the rest warp to their location using the second pyramid.
  4. Fast Travel: A teleporting companion reaches the island, unlocks the waypoint, allowing the rest to fast travel.

Method 2: The Undead Ferry (Requires Fane)

An undead ferryman northwest of Cloisterwood offers passage. However, this is a trap; only Fane (being undead and Deathfog-immune) survives. He reaches the island, unlocks the waypoint, enabling the rest of the party to fast travel.

Method 3: The Ferry Without Fane (Requires Teleporter Pyramids)

If Fane isn't in your party, use Teleporter Pyramids:

  1. Equip a pyramid on a companion.
  2. Send the companion via ferry; they'll die on arrival.
  3. Use the second pyramid to warp to the deceased companion.
  4. Resurrect the companion.

Note: The bridge is generally the faster method without Fane.

Caution Regarding the Ferryman

Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless prepared. He retaliates with a potentially lethal Deathfog spell. A quick save is recommended before engaging. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
