Extracting Items in R.E.O.P.: A Guide

Apr 17,2025 Author: Jonathan

*R.E.P.O.* is an intense co-operative horror game where your mission is clear: retrieve valuable items and survive the ordeal. It's a challenge that's far from straightforward, with a variety of monsters lurking and spawning unpredictably across each location. But triumph over these creatures and make it out with your loot, and you'll be handsomely rewarded by the game and the ever-watchful AI Taxman. These rewards give you the chance to bolster your survival gear with the cash you've earned.

To secure your valuables, you need to locate and reach the Extraction Point, where your C.A.R.T full of treasures is assessed, and the Taxman decides whether you can proceed to the Service Station—hopefully with a hefty sum to spend on upgrades and supplies.

As you delve deeper into *R.E.P.O.*, the extraction process becomes almost second nature. What might seem daunting initially soon turns into a routine as you tackle more levels and overcome more monstrous adversaries.

How to Extract in R.E.P.O.

In your initial foray into *R.E.P.O.*, you'll find just one Extraction Point. As you progress to new areas, this number can increase, with a maximum of four Extraction Points currently available. You can monitor your extraction goals by checking the red number in the top right corner of your screen, which also shows how many you've already completed.

At the start of your level, the Extraction Point will be conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck. This spot remains constant, ensuring you know exactly where to deliver your first batch of valuables. Subsequent extractions, however, become more challenging.

After dropping off your initial C.A.R.T load, you'll need to navigate the rest of the level as usual. The catch? You won't know the Taxman's demands or the location of the next drop-off until you're in the vicinity. This is where your in-game map becomes invaluable. By hitting the "Tab" key, you can view unexplored areas, which aids in planning your routes and, if playing with others, allows your team to spread out and cover more ground efficiently.

Only upon reaching the area of the next Extraction Point will its location become clear, either by sight or by sound. Once you've found it, press the prominent red button to learn your fate and see if you've collected enough. If you meet the requirements, place your C.A.R.T within the designated grey area to ensure all items are safely processed; otherwise, they risk being destroyed.

After completing an extraction, you'll either move on to the next Extraction Point by repeating these steps, or you'll need to make your way back to the truck in one piece. It's important to note that once the last point is discovered and your valuables are tallied, you don't need to take the C.A.R.T back to the truck with you. A new one will always be waiting for you in the next location or level.

Now that you're equipped with all the knowledge you need for extracting items in *R.E.P.O.*, make sure to explore our other guides for more tips and strategies to enhance your gameplay experience.
