Crafting Your Fishing Rod
To start fishing, craft a Fishing Rod at the Supplies Workbench. You'll need:
- 20 Logs: Collected by cutting down trees.
- 10 Copper Ingots: Crafted from Copper Ore and Charcoal in a furnace.
Unlock the Essential Tools in the Crafting section of your Memetics menu to access the Supplies Workbench. Press ‘F’ to queue the fishing rod for crafting. The completion time appears in the lower left of your menu. Once done, retrieve it from the workbench.

Top Fishing Spots in Once Human
Certain areas in Once Human yield better fishing results:
- Wild Dog Isle: Home to a wide range of fish species.
- Brookham Dock: A go-to spot for reliable catches.
- Harborside Bridge: Access to both freshwater and saltwater fish.
- Greywater Camp: A quiet location with varied fish types.
- Holt Town Decking: Perfect for rare fish catches.
- Chalk Peak: High-altitude waters with unique species.
Storing Your Fish
Fish, like other perishables in the game, have a limited shelf life. Extend their freshness by storing them in a refrigerator or using a Meat Drier to preserve them indefinitely. Another option is to display fish on a Specimen Rack, keeping them fresh and edible while mounted, though only one fish can be displayed at a time. Alternatively, use a Fish Tank, which holds up to four fish, depending on their size.
