Fortnite

If you're eager to dive into some thrilling action in *Fortnite*, The Getaway is a Limited Time Mode that you won't want to miss. Originally introduced in Chapter 1 Season 5 and making a comeback in Chapter 6 Season 2, here's everything you need to know about playing The Getaway, including its duration.

Playing The Getaway in Fortnite

Getting started with The Getaway in *Fortnite* is straightforward. Launch *Fortnite* on your preferred platform, navigate to the Lobby, and then select Discover. You should see The Getaway listed there; just hit the Play button to start queuing for a match. If you don't spot it right away, no worries—use the search bar located in the top left corner of the Lobby, type in "The Getaway," and it should appear instantly.

What Is The Getaway?

The Getaway is an exciting heist-style game mode where the goal is to snatch a jewel from the map and make a swift escape in a Getaway Van. It's a PvP mode, so you'll be up against other teams vying for the same treasure. Victory goes to the first three teams that successfully grab a jewel and escape, but you can also win by eliminating rival teams. What's great this time around is that The Getaway is also playable in Zero Build mode, perfect for those who prefer to skip *Fortnite*'s building aspect. You can play in Duos, Squads, Unranked, and Ranked settings, giving you plenty of options to enjoy this mode.

The Getaway Start and End Dates

The Getaway is currently live in *Fortnite* and will be available until April 1, at 12 a.m. Eastern Time. I highly recommend taking advantage of this window to play, as you can also earn XP that will help progress your battle pass.

That's all you need to know about playing The Getaway in *Fortnite*. For more tips and information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
