GOG Revives Dino Crisis 1 and 2 for PC Gamers
Apr 08,2025Author: Liam
The beloved survival horror classics, Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2, have been resurrected and are now available on PC through GOG. These re-releases, part of GOG's Preservation Program, are DRM-free and maintain the original content that fans adored. Originally launched on the PlayStation in 1999 and 2000 respectively, these games have been brought back to life thanks to the efforts of Capcom and GOG.
Despite the fanbase's desire for a new installment or an HD remake, Capcom has shown little interest in reviving the series. The 2022 announcement of Exoprimal, a multiplayer action game featuring dinosaurs, was perceived by many as the final blow to hopes for a Dino Crisis revival. Furthermore, in August of the previous year, the series' creator, Shinji Mikami, suggested that the success of Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise leaves little room for a Dino Crisis reboot or remake.
Previously, the PC ports of the first two Dino Crisis games were challenging to find and run on modern systems. GOG's re-release is a welcome solution, ensuring these classics are accessible and optimized for today's technology.
"Thanks to the tremendous efforts of Capcom and GOG, Regina’s iconic line, 'You’re extinct!' no longer applies to the game itself," GOG stated. "The timeless thriller that defined a generation of gamers is made to last forever, enhanced for today’s systems, featuring all the original content you loved with numerous improvements."

There’s a new sandbox in town, and it’s not here to play nice. Grand Outlaws from Hardbit Studio is soft launching on the Play Store in the US, and it’s going all-in on chaos, car chases, and open-world mayhem. Think GTA Online but shrunk down to fit in your hands and somehow still just as loud.Rath
