In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the "Canker" side quest becomes available after completing "The Jaunt." This quest is a great opportunity to acquire a mace or some extra Groschen, enhancing your gameplay experience. Here's a detailed guide on how to successfully complete the "Canker" quest.

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the "Canker" side quest, you'll need to have a conversation with Gules at Semine. You can easily pick up this quest during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes. Just speak to Gules while he's enjoying a drink before the ceremony, and you can start the quest. Alternatively, you can approach Gules earlier when he's on patrol at Semine. Ask him about his past with a group of bandits and offer your assistance in eliminating the remaining threats. Canker, one of these former bandits, becomes your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Once you've accepted the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, situated north of Nebakov Mill. Be cautious as the path leading to Canker is often patrolled by bandits who may attempt to ambush you. You can choose to evade them using stealth, engage in combat, or simply flee. Although these bandits aren't typically challenging, it's wise to conserve your health for the upcoming battle.

Canker's bandit camp is nestled in the mountains and can be easy to overlook. You'll need to navigate through a narrow gap to reach it, similar to accessing the Hermit's house in the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Before entering, prepare for combat as you'll face several bandits, including Canker. While some bandits might flee during the fight, it's crucial to take down most of them. Fortunately, Canker remains steadfast and won't escape, ensuring you can complete your mission by eliminating him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his accomplices, loot Canker's body to collect the Light Mace, which is essential to prove your success. Feel free to take any additional items that catch your eye. Once you've gathered the necessary proof, return to Gules at Semine to complete the "Canker" quest.

Upon finishing the "Canker" quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you must wait a full in-game day before you can engage in the next related quest. After the day has passed, speak with Gules again to begin the "Handsome Charlie" quest.
