The challenging boss fights in *The First Berserker: Khazan* can be daunting, but players have a powerful ally in the Spirit of Advocacy. While the game doesn't offer traditional co-op gameplay, the Spirit of Advocacy serves as a helpful alternative. Here's everything you need to know about unlocking, summoning, and upgrading this crucial asset.
Facing formidable bosses like Yetuga and the Blade Phantom can be tough without assistance, but relief comes in the third mission at the Forgotten Temples in the Embars Ruins. After disabling the magical device siphoning Netherworld energy, you'll encounter the Revenant of Adversity at the temple's base. This enemy, a hybrid of Khazan and the Blade Phantom, must be defeated to unlock the ability to summon the Spirit of Advocacy.
Once unlocked, the Spirit of Advocacy can be summoned just before the final boss fight of each mission. Look for the golden glowing spot in front of the boss gate, and use a Lacrima of Circulation to call upon this ally. These rare items are obtained by defeating Revenants of Adversity, which appear in each level. Make sure to seek out and defeat these enemies to gather the necessary Lacrima of Circulation.
After completing the Forgotten Temple mission, return to The Crevice and speak with the NPC Daphrona. She offers the option to upgrade the Spirit of Advocacy using Lacrima of Circulation. Investing these resources will enhance the Spirit's health, damage, and stamina, making it a more effective ally in boss battles. It's wise to farm additional Lacrima of Circulation, as they also contribute to upgrading your own stats and earning Vengeance Points bonuses. Additionally, Daphrona can utilize destroyed Soulstones to provide further buffs, so be sure to explore these options as well.
