Lunacy serves as the premium currency in Limbus Company, essential for acquiring new Identities and EGOs. It's the cornerstone of the game's gacha system, so amassing Lunacy is crucial for unlocking those coveted character variants.
Earning Lunacy in Limbus Company follows a pattern similar to many gacha games. Initially, you'll receive a generous amount, but as you progress, the rate at which you acquire Lunacy will notably decrease.
How to Get Lunacy in Limbus Company

For newcomers, diving into the main story is the most effective way to earn Lunacy. Completing each chapter will reward you with approximately 390 Lunacy, and an additional 260 if you manage to achieve an EX rating by completing enough missions with an EX clear. To achieve an EX clear, you must meet all the specific EX objectives for each mission. The first time you EX clear a mission, you'll be rewarded with an extra 40 Lunacy, so strive to meet those objectives.
Additionally, clearing Luxcavation stages for the first time will grant you Lunacy, but remember, these rewards are one-time only.
Once you've exhausted all available story quests, your Lunacy earnings will begin to decline. At this point, the following methods become your primary sources for Lunacy:
- Completing or EX clearing event stages.
- Tackling Boosted Mirror Dungeons.
- Uptying Identities.
- Claiming battle pass rewards.
- Making direct purchases.

Engaging with Boosted Mirror Dungeons will likely become your most reliable source of Lunacy. You're allowed to attempt up to three of these each week, earning you 750 Lunacy in total. These dungeons reset every Wednesday, so mark your calendar. Be prepared, though; these can be challenging, so bring your strongest Identities.
Events are another excellent opportunity to accumulate Lunacy, albeit for a limited time. Participating in these events whenever they're available is crucial for maximizing your Lunacy gains. Don't forget to review all event rewards to ensure you don't miss out on any additional benefits.
Uptying involves upgrading your Sinners' Identities and EGOs. As you progress through the Uptie tiers, your characters become stronger. Reaching Uptie Tier 3 specifically rewards you with 40 Lunacy. Although this method has its limits, reaching Uptie 3 with non-default Sinner Identities is a long-term goal that can contribute to your Lunacy reserves. Keep leveling up your characters and collecting Threads to eventually Uptie your entire roster.
Lastly, the game's battle passes offer a wealth of resources for enhancing your Sinners, including Lunacy. While there's a free track available, accessing all rewards will require a real-money purchase.
