NetEase Games has unveiled exciting details about the upcoming Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, titled "Eternal Night Falls," set to launch on January 10 at 1 AM PST. This season will spotlight Dracula as the main antagonist, adding a thrilling narrative twist to the game. Fans are eagerly anticipating the introduction of The Fantastic Four to the roster, with Mister Fantastic and The Invisible Woman joining at the season's start, followed by Human Torch and The Thing six to seven weeks later.

In addition to new characters, Season 1 will introduce three new maps and a fresh game mode called Doom Match, enhancing the gameplay experience. The battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), promises a rich array of content, including 10 skins. Players can earn 600 Lattice and 600 Units by completing objectives throughout the season, offering substantial value and progression incentives.

Balancing is a key focus for Season 1, with significant adjustments planned. Hela and Hawkeye, previously dominant and often banned in higher ranks, will receive nerfs to balance their power levels. Conversely, mobility-based Vanguards like Captain America and Venom will see buffs to enhance their effectiveness in combat. Other characters such as Wolverine and Storm are also slated for improvements, encouraging more strategic use in gameplay. Cloak and Dagger will receive boosts to better integrate with various team compositions.

NetEase Games has also addressed community feedback regarding Jeff the Land Shark, acknowledging issues with the alignment of his early warning signals and ultimate hit box. While some players feel his ultimate ability is too strong, no major changes have been announced yet.

The developers have remained silent on the Seasonal Bonus feature, which has sparked debate among players about its impact on game balance. Despite this, the anticipation for Season 1 remains high, with fans ready to dive into the new content and updates at launch.
