Hunt a New Beast!

Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Fear not! A second Open Beta Test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February. Following the success of the initial beta, this second phase provides another opportunity to test the game before its official launch on February 28th. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, this iteration boasts new content, including the formidable Gypceros, a series veteran, as a huntable monster.

Character data from the first beta is transferable to the second and, later, the full game. However, progress won't carry over. As a reward for participation, beta testers receive in-game bonuses: a decorative Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, and a special item pack to aid early-game progression.

"Many requested a second chance to play, or to experience the improvements," Tsujimoto explained. "The team is diligently working to finalize the full game." While a pre-launch community update video detailed planned improvements, these enhancements won't be included in this beta.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Get ready to hunt!
