Palworld's demanding PC specifications present a considerable challenge for porting to the Switch's less powerful hardware. Mizobe emphasized that the technical difficulties are the main reason for the current unlikeliness of a Switch version.
Future Platforms and Partnerships

While discussions regarding new platforms are ongoing, Pocketpair hasn't made any concrete announcements regarding future releases on consoles like PlayStation or mobile devices. Mizobe confirmed previous interest in expanding to additional platforms, but no decisions have been finalized. He also clarified that while open to partnership or acquisition offers, there have been no buyout discussions with Microsoft.
The game's impressive launch figures – 15 million PC copies sold in the first month and 10 million players on Xbox Game Pass – highlight its success. This success fuels Mizobe's ambition to broaden Palworld's reach to a wider audience.
Expanding Multiplayer Features: An "Ark" or "Rust" Vision

Beyond platform considerations, Mizobe shared his vision for enhancing Palworld's multiplayer aspects. The upcoming arena mode, described as an experiment, is a step towards a more robust PvP experience. He explicitly expressed a desire to incorporate elements reminiscent of popular survival games like Ark and Rust, aiming for a more competitive and collaborative multiplayer experience. These games are known for their challenging environments, intricate resource management, and extensive player interaction, including alliances and conflict.

Palworld's captivating gameplay, featuring creature capture, base building, and survival combat, has resonated strongly with players. A major update, the Sakurajima update, is scheduled for release on Thursday, introducing a new island and the highly anticipated PvP arena.
