Mastering the Path of Exile 2 Trade System: A Guide to In-Game and Online Trading

While Path of Exile 2 is enjoyable solo, trading with other players significantly enhances the experience. This guide covers both in-game and online trading methods.

In-Game Trading

Two primary methods exist for in-game trades:

  1. Direct Trading: If you're in the same instance as another player, right-click their character and select "Trade." Both players then choose items for exchange. Confirmation from both finalizes the trade.

  2. Chat-Based Trading: Use global chat or direct messages to connect with players. Right-click their name in the chatbox to invite them to your party. Teleport to their location and initiate the trade as described above.

The Path of Exile 2 Trade Market (Online)

Path of Exile 2 utilizes an official trade site (link provided separately) functioning as an auction house. Access requires a linked PoE account.

Buying Items:

Use the site's filters to locate desired items. Clicking "Direct Whisper" sends an in-game direct message to the seller, initiating communication to arrange the trade.

Selling Items:

You'll need a Premium Stash Tab (purchasable from the in-game Microtransaction Shop). Place the item in the Premium Stash and set it to "Public." Right-clicking the item allows price setting, automatically listing it on the trade site. Buyers will contact you in-game to complete the transaction.
