Pokemon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over event introduces a highly anticipated feature: remote raid pass functionality for Shadow Raids! This limited-time opportunity, running from January 15th, 12:00 a.m. to January 19th, 8:00 p.m. local time, allows trainers to participate in one-star, three-star, and five-star Shadow Raids remotely or in person.
This exciting addition to the game offers players a chance to catch Pokémon with enhanced Individual Values (IVs) during Shadow Raids. The event even extends to a special Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day on January 19th (2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time), boosting the odds of encountering a Shiny Shadow Ho-Oh and enabling the teaching of the Sacred Fire charged attack. Furthermore, players can utilize Charged TMs to remove the Frustration move from Shadow Pokémon.
Key Highlights:
The introduction of remote raid passes for Shadow Raids is a significant response to player demand since their 2023 introduction. While the current implementation is temporary, it addresses past criticisms regarding the in-person requirements for challenging raids, potentially paving the way for future permanent integration. Whether this becomes a standard feature remains to be seen.
