The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, featuring a massive 90,000+ competitor roster in its Open Qualifiers. This marks the first major international PUBG Mobile esports event of the year, offering a significant opportunity for rising stars.
The Open Qualifiers, which started February 13th, provide a pathway for new talent to compete for a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event. A substantial $500,000 prize pool is up for grabs, demanding intense competition across multiple qualifying rounds. The amateur-only format ensures fresh faces gain prominence in the PUBG Mobile esports scene.
Teams boasting at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2. Upcoming weeks will see fierce battles among aspiring teams vying for a place in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against elite teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
Twelve teams will ultimately emerge from the Prelims to challenge top-tier professional PUBG Mobile players in the Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their Main Event berths based on their impressive PMGC 2024 performances. Four additional teams will qualify through regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
