Scammers are distributing fake invitations to test Elden Ring Nightreign

Bandai Namco is sending out emails inviting players to a closed beta test for Elden Ring: Nightreign, scheduled for February 14-17, 2025. The test will feature a three-player cooperative mode.

Beware of phishing scams! Numerous reports indicate fraudulent emails mimicking official Bandai Namco communications are circulating. These emails contain links to fake websites designed to steal player accounts. These sites often resemble Steam. Players are urged to exercise caution and verify the authenticity of any email before clicking links. If in doubt, contact Bandai Namco directly through official channels.

A key difference in Elden Ring: Nightreign is the removal of the in-game messaging system. Project director Junya Ishizaki explained this decision, citing the approximately forty-minute session length as insufficient time for players to effectively send and read messages. The feature was disabled to optimize the limited playtime.
