Path of Exile 2's trade channels constantly buzz with demand for White Stellar Amulets, fetching 10-15 Exalted Orbs each. Many players are unsure why this item commands such a premium. The answer lies in its potential and the methods used to enhance it. Let's break it down.
Why are White Stellar Amulets so Valuable in Path of Exile 2?
Normal-rarity Stellar Amulets, possessing only the inherent "+# to All Attributes," are key ingredients in crafting the Astramentis Stellar Amulet, a top-tier Unique Amulet. This transformation is achieved using an Orb of Chance.
Astramentis's exceptional power stems from its massive attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes perfectly with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another highly sought-after Unique item, significantly improving attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.
Crucially, only White Stellar Amulets can yield Astramentis. Blue (Magic) or Yellow (Rare) amulets won't work. This scarcity explains the high value of Normal Stellar Amulets.
Sell or Gamble? The White Stellar Amulet Dilemma
The odds of successfully obtaining Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are extremely low. Even using 100 amulets might not guarantee success. While luck could strike, it's a long shot.
The choice is yours: sell your White Stellar Amulets for 10-30 Exalted Orbs (market price dependent), or take a high-risk, high-reward gamble. It's a personal decision.
Using the Orb of Chance for Astramentis in PoE 2
To attempt the transformation, place the Normal Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. Possible outcomes include:
- Amulet destruction.
- Upgrade to a unique sharing the same base. Two possibilities exist:
- Astramentis (the desired outcome)
- Fixation of Yix (a less valuable alternative)
Fixation of Yix is the more likely result if the gamble succeeds, making Astramentis a rare prize indeed. Remember, failure means losing the amulet.
