Ultra Beasts Return to Pokémon GO in July

Pokémon GO's "Inbound from Ultra Space" event brings back Ultra Beasts! This five-day extravaganza, running from July 8th to 13th (10 AM local time), features nine Ultra Beasts in five-star raids. However, geographical limitations apply – several Ultra Beasts are regional exclusives. Asia-Pacific gets Xurkitree, EMEA and India get Pheromosa, the Americas and Greenland have Buzzwole, Stakataka is in the Eastern Hemisphere, and Blacephalon in the West. Celesteela appears in the Southern Hemisphere, while Kartana is found in the North.

Timed Research quests offer encounters with all featured Ultra Beasts, but only Stakataka and Blacephalon boast special Pokédex backgrounds. New backgrounds are also obtainable from raids and wild catches. The event includes increased daily Remote Raid Pass limits (20 until July 11th, unlimited from July 12th-14th) and guaranteed Candy XL for trades (Trainers level 31+).

Raid Schedule Highlights:

  • July 8th: Guzzlord
  • July 9th: Nihilego
  • July 10th: Celesteela (Southern Hemisphere), Kartana (Northern Hemisphere)
  • July 11th: Stakataka (Eastern Hemisphere), Blacephalon (Western Hemisphere)
  • July 12th: Buzzwole (Americas & Greenland), Pheromosa (EMEA & India), Xurkitree (Asia-Pacific)

Shiny versions of the starred Pokémon are possible. Raid Hours (6 PM - 7 PM local time) feature the daily raid Pokémon.

New Special Backgrounds: Obtainable from catching certain Pokémon in Raid Battles.

Global Challenge: A global challenge unlocks Beast Balls for Ultra Beast encounters during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global and temporarily boosts Party Power. The challenge runs from July 7th (4 PM PDT) to July 12th (12 PM PDT).
