Valheim's core gameplay loop revolves around exploring biomes, gathering resources, and preparing for challenging boss battles. This can be a tough journey, especially in later biomes like the Swamp and Mountains, where enemies hit hard. Fortunately, the game offers some respite in the form of merchants. Currently, there are three: each provides valuable items to ease your survival struggle. However, their locations are procedurally generated, making them tricky to find. This guide details their locations and inventories.

How To Find Haldor In Valheim (Black Forest Merchant)

Haldor, arguably the easiest merchant to locate, can spawn within a 1500m radius of your world's center. He resides in the Black Forest, an area accessible relatively early in the game.

He's often found near The Elder's spawn point (the Black Forest boss). You can usually locate a nearby Elder spawn by examining the glowing ruins in Burial Chambers. However, this is still a large search area. For a more efficient approach, use the Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) to pinpoint his exact coordinates using your world seed.

Haldor's location is fixed once found. After discovering him, building a portal for easy access is highly recommended. You'll need gold to trade, readily obtainable by exploring dungeons and selling gems (Rubies, Amber Pearls, Silver Necklaces, etc.).

How To Find Hildir In Valheim (Meadows Merchant)

Hildir, unlike Haldor, resides in the Meadows biome. Despite the Meadows' relative safety, finding her is challenging due to her distant spawn location from the world center.

The Valheim World Generator provides the quickest route to her location. Alternatively, search Meadows within a 3000-5100m radius from the world center (spawn points are approximately 1000m apart). You'll need to explore extensively. A T-shirt icon appears on the map when you're within 300-400m. Construct a portal after finding her.

Hildir specializes in clothing offering various stat boosts. She also provides quests requiring you to locate her lost items in various dungeons:

• Smouldering Tombs (Black Forest)
• Howling Caverns (Mountains)
• Sealed Towers (Plains)

Completing these quests unlocks new items in her shop.

How To Find The Bog Witch In Valheim (Swamp Merchant)

The Bog Witch, the newest addition, is located in the treacherous Swamp biome. Prepare adequately before searching, as the Swamp presents significant challenges.

She spawns between 3000m and 8000m from the world center (spawn points are approximately 1000m apart). Consider using the World Generator for efficiency. A Cauldron icon appears on the map when nearby. Once found, she remains in that spot; build a portal.

The Bog Witch is unique: a friendly Greydwarf with a magical Kvastur that protects her hut. Her hut provides Comfort Level 3, and she sells ingredients for new foods and meads.
