HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) boasts a diverse cast of characters, each with unique mechanics and synergy potential. This tier list ranks all available Agents in version 1.0, updated to reflect the current meta. Remember, tier lists are dynamic and subject to change with new content.

Note: This tier list considers the current meta as of December 24, 2024. New characters and balance changes will inevitably shift rankings.

S-Tier: Top-Performing Agents

These Agents consistently excel in their roles and synergize effectively with others.

• Miyabi: A powerhouse Frost DPS dealing massive damage with swift attacks. Requires strategic play to maximize her potential.

• Jane Doe: A superior version of Piper, boasting significantly higher Assault Anomaly Crit damage. While Anomaly DPS is generally slower, her raw power places her among the top.

• Yanagi: Specializes in triggering Disorder, activating its effects without needing additional Shock. An ideal partner for Anomaly-focused teams.

• Zhu Yuan: An exceptional DPS whose rapid Shotshell attacks pair well with Stun and Support characters. Synergizes particularly well with Qingyi and Nicole in version 1.1.

• Caesar: Redefines the role of a Defensive Agent. Provides exceptional protection, powerful buffs, debuffs, and crowd control. Scales with Impact for easy stunning.

• Qingyi: A versatile Stunner who boosts any team with an Attack Agent. Quickly builds Daze and applies significant DMG multipliers to stunned enemies.

• Lighter: A Stun Agent with significant buffs, particularly effective with Fire and Ice characters.

• Lycaon: An Ice Stun unit whose charged attacks apply Ice and Daze, enhancing Anomaly reactions. Reduces enemy Ice resistance and boosts ally Daze DMG.

• Ellen: An Ice Attack Agent who synergizes exceptionally well with Lycaon and Soukaku. Deals massive damage, especially with her EX Special Attacks and Ultimate.

• Harumasa: A free-to-obtain Electric Attack character who delivers powerful hits with proper setup.

• Soukaku: A Support Agent who buffs Ice units and applies Ice Anomaly. Exceptional when paired with Ellen or Lycaon.

• Rina: A Support Agent who deals damage and grants PEN (defense ignore), particularly beneficial for Electric characters. Also buffs Shock reactions.

A-Tier: Strong Performers with Specific Synergies

These Agents are excellent within specific team compositions but may not be as universally effective as S-Tier Agents.

• Nicole: An Ether Support who pulls enemies and shreds enemy DEF, boosting Ether DMG. Best suited for Ether DPS teams.

• Seth: A solid Shielder and Support, but not as impactful as top-tier buffers like Soukaku and Caesar. Niche for Anomaly DPS teams.

• Lucy: A Support unit dealing off-field DMG and providing an ATK% buff. Synergy with other characters enhances her DPS.

• Piper: Relies heavily on her EX Special Attack for Assault Anomaly generation. Works well in Anomaly-focused teams.

• Grace: Quickly applies Shock and builds Anomaly, triggering continuous DMG. Stronger in teams with other Anomaly Agents, though less dominant than newer options.

• Koleda: A reliable Fire/Stun character who quickly builds Daze. Synergizes well with other Fire units, especially Ben.

• Anby: A reliable Stunner with quick combos and bullet deflection, but easily interrupted compared to other Stun Agents.

• Soldier 11: Deals high DMG with straightforward mechanics. Fire infusion on Basic Attacks during certain abilities.

B-Tier: Situational Usefulness

These Agents have niche uses but are generally outperformed by higher-tier options.

• Ben: A defensive character with parry and punish mechanics, but slow and limited team benefits outside of Crit Rate buff.

• Nekomata: Deals high AoE DMG but heavily relies on team support to feed her enemies. Potential for improvement with future content.

C-Tier: Underperforming Agents

These Agents currently offer limited value compared to other options.

• Corin: Deals Physical DMG, excelling against stunned enemies, but outperformed by Nekomata and Piper.

• Billy: Deals decent DMG but outperformed by other Attack units. Effective in quick-swap teams.

• Anton: Interesting Shock DMG triggering but lacks DPS. Single-target focus further limits his effectiveness.
