
The popular RPG adventure management game, The Tale of Food, featuring anthropomorphic food characters, is closing its doors. Initially launched in China for closed beta in September 2019 and later distributed by Tencent Games, the game's servers will officially shut down on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8).
The Tale of Food Shutdown Date and Details:
In-game purchases have been disabled as of February 18th, 2025. New player registration is also unavailable, and the game has been removed from the Google Play Store. However, existing players can continue enjoying the game until the servers close on March 20th.
Refunds for Recent Purchases:
Players who made in-game purchases between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, are eligible for a refund. Contact in-game support or email the developers before March 20th to initiate the refund process. Server Shutdown Timeline:
The game's Japan server closed in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. The global server shutdown marks the final closure for The Tale of Food.
Community Remains:
While the game itself will be unavailable after March 20th, the official X, Facebook, and Discord communities will remain active, providing a space for players to share memories and connect.
