The House of the Dead 2: Remake – A Classic Returns

Get ready for a blast from the past! Forever Entertainment and MegaPixel Studio are bringing back the iconic 1998 arcade shooter, The House of the Dead 2, in a fully-remastered form. Launching Spring 2025 across all major platforms, this remake promises a revitalized experience for both nostalgic fans and newcomers.

The original House of the Dead 2, a standout in the late 90s gaming landscape, offered a unique alternative to the then-popular Resident Evil franchise. This remake delivers a modern update, boasting enhanced visuals, audio, and gameplay.

Expect a significant graphical overhaul and remastered music. The on-rails shooting mechanics remain, but players will navigate expanded environments while battling hordes of gruesome zombies. Gameplay options have been expanded to include a single-player mode, co-op mode, Classic Campaign, Boss Mode, branching level paths, and multiple endings.

The announcement trailer showcases the game's updated look and feel, maintaining the high-octane action and bloody thrills of the original while incorporating a streamlined, modern HUD. The retro charm is preserved through the game's signature combo counters and intense soundtrack.

The House of the Dead 2: Remake will be available on Nintendo Switch, PC (GOG and Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Join the zombie-slaying action when it launches in Spring 2025.

This revival follows the trend of resurrected classic horror titles, joining the ranks of recent Resident Evil remakes and the Clock Tower remaster. Fans of retro horror and zombie shooters should keep an eye out for further updates.
