While this marks your first major boss encounter, don't underestimate its difficulty. After mastering *The First Berserker: Khazan*'s combat mechanics, you'll need every technique at your disposal to emerge victorious.

Yetuga is an aggressive adversary that ferociously attacks intruders in its territory - exactly the situation you face at Mount Heinmach's climax. Like other massive creatures you've encountered, this boss employs both ranged and melee attacks, including devastating leap slams.

Success depends on perfecting your defensive maneuvers. Yetuga's arsenal includes:

Yetuga employs several dangerous attacks:

  • A two-strike combo beginning with a downward left-hand smash followed by a right-hand uppercut
  • A four-hit alternating horizontal swipe combination
  • A double-handed overhead smash
  • Leaping single-handed smash attack
  • A deadly jumping grab maneuver
  • Charging rush attack

Study the attack patterns carefully and counterattack during openings. With the exception of its jumping grab, successfully parrying its moves depletes Yetuga's stamina more effectively, turning its aggression against it. When the boss charges into walls, use the brief stun window to target the ice spines on its back - destroying these weak points reduces its offensive capabilities.

Phase Two: Escalating the Battle

Maintain constant pressure to trigger the second phase, indicated by Yetuga's empowering roar. Immediately create distance as the battle intensifies. The enhanced Yetuga gains new abilities including stone projectile throws and freezing breath attacks that summon ice spikes. Time your dodges carefully or parry these frost attacks as they reach you.

Strategic use of Potent Attacks followed by Brutal Attacks during exhaustion phases will quickly deplete the boss's health. Upon victory, you'll be rewarded with 4,800 Lacrima, Frozen Mountain gear pieces, and the valuable Necklace of Resolve.
