Netmarble's popular action RPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is set to conclude its run on October 30th, 2024. This announcement, recently posted on Netmarble's official forums, marks the end of over six years of intense fighting game action and numerous high-profile crossovers.
The in-game store has already been closed as of June 26th, 2024, so no further in-app purchases are possible.
While the game enjoyed positive player reviews, praising its smooth animations and engaging PvP battles, the developers alluded to a potential shortage of characters to adapt as a contributing factor to the shutdown. However, this is likely only part of the story, with other undisclosed reasons contributing to the decision.
The game also faced challenges, including optimization issues and occasional crashes that frustrated some players. Despite these setbacks, King of Fighters ALLSTAR achieved millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store.
Players still wanting to experience the game have approximately four months remaining before the servers shut down in October. This provides a final opportunity to enjoy its iconic battles and roster of fighters. Download it from the Google Play Store before it's gone.
